NOTE: This song is one of Marlene’s great hits of the early 1930s. It was composed by Peter Kreuder - one of the greatest German pop-music composers in the 20th Century who was also a noted jazz-pianist and dance bandleader and during Marlene’s residing in Germany (- before her emigration to the US) he was her accompanist. There also exists another recorded version of this tune, when Dietrich is accompanied by the French 1930s’dance orchestra led by Wal-Berg.
