Hello :)

This is the requested transcription I've done of the Banda Black Rio song "Maria Fumaça" from their 1977 album with the same name . The bass player on this track was Jamil Joanes.

I really enjoyed working on and learning this one. I keep saying it, but there's just something about Brazilian music that I really like :)

I found this band after one of my YouTube subscribers recommended that I check them out. It's a great album and from what I've learned, it's kind of an important album in the history of Brazilian Funk/Jazz music. I can see why. There's a definite energy on this album and these guys are playing their butts off!

There are some excellent rhythms and some nice up and down the neck kind of movement to be learned in this one. If you're up for the task, I'd highly recommend giving this one a try. It's one of those songs where I think you're just a little better after you come out the other side ;)
